The project ”Youth trio – Socialization, Culture, Creativity” supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers has conducted its second event. This time, partners from three countries – Denmark, Finland and Russia- met in the Finnish city Savonlinna. The city is known for hosting one of Europe’s biggest opera festivals each year and a culture college is also located here, where creative young people from all over Finland come to study.
This made it interesting for us to visit this city; partly to meet with the organizers behind the festival to hear about their experience hosting big cultural events; partly to invite students from the culture college to participate in the organic culture festival in Russia. Both these targets were reached, and now we are looking forward to next event of the project – the International Youth Music Festival “Tre Kyster” (Three Coasts), which will be held in the city Petrozavodsk September 15-16, 2017.
The society, World Women in Denmark, now faces the task of finding two young performers from Denmark, who can perform on stage using their own creative show and report on the environmental perspective in cultural events, as well as the green agenda in general.
