Verdens kvinder i Danmark has invited/ordered two scholars to give lectures on the occasion of the Festival of research.
The Festival of research is a nationwide science festival, which takes place every year in week 17 with about 500 events and more than 65,000 visitors. “Order a Researcher” is an offer, which is available during the Festival of Research. This opportunity is given to anyone who can gather an audience of at least 15 persons. Ordering a researcher, who will come and give a talk during the week 17, is free of charge.
We have chosen two current issues for us: labor market and Danish language.
Kenneth Lykke Sørensen from Aarhus University will talk about typical employment. It will take place on Monday, the 25th of April, from 5 -7 pm. Another scholar, that we have invited, is Bjarne Simmelkjær Sandgaard Hansen from Copenhagen University. He will talk about why there is such a big difference between spoken and written Danish. This lecture will take place on Friday, the 29th of April, from 4 – 6 pm.
