We have completed our first big international project in which we, as an organization, have been the primary responsible party. Our Director recently returned from Karelia (Russia), where she held a presentation at the final Conference. The project “Youth trio – Socialization, Culture, Creativity” stretches over three northern countries (Denmark, Finland, and Russia) and focuses on establishing contact between young people, thereby providing the opportunity for them to; get to know each other, exchange ideas and experiences as well as establish partnerships. Since the beginning of the project, a year and a half ago, young people from all three countries have been able to participate in three major festivals in Russia, two developmental tours in Denmark and Finland, and an international conference on youth involvement in creative projects. We would like to thank the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Council for supporting these events.
At the final conference, we received several enquiries from Russian youth, women and ethnic organisations to help establish contact with similar associations in Denmark. We are delighted about this level of enthusiasm and we would very much like to share our knowledge and our network in order to create bonds between different countries and to develop trust and friendship.
